CBSE tutors in Jeddah: Class 9 to 12 online lessons

Jeddah has nine CBSE-affiliated schools on the CBSE SARAS register, from International Indian School Jeddah to Al Falah International Delhi Public School. Several of them stop at Class 10, so many Jeddah students change school when they choose a Class 11 stream, which is where marks most often slip. Every one of these schools also needs a Saudi Ministry of Education licence and teaches Arabic alongside the CBSE syllabus. LiveTutor runs one-to-one online lessons with tutors who teach CBSE Maths, Science, Commerce and English, at times that suit Jeddah's Sunday to Thursday week.

International Indian School Jeddah lists its address care of the Consulate General of India's First Secretary, as the Indian community schools in Saudi Arabia do.

Two authorities, one timetable

CBSE affiliation covers the syllabus and the board exams. The right to run a school in Jeddah comes from the Saudi Ministry of Education, which licenses all private and international schools and requires them to teach Arabic, Islamic studies and the Kingdom's history and geography. For Saudi students these are taught in Arabic; for Indian, Pakistani and other expatriate pupils they are usually taught in English. Parents comparing schools should ask how many periods those subjects take each week, because they come out of the same school day as the CBSE subjects.

The ministry's own calendar matters less to a CBSE school than to a Saudi public school, but national holidays apply to everyone. In 1448 (2026-27) the Makkah region, which includes Jeddah, opened public schools on 30 August 2026, a week after Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and Jeddah families often find term breaks shifted by that week too.

The Class 10 to Class 11 jump in Jeddah

Three of Jeddah's nine CBSE schools are affiliated only to Class 10, so their students change school, and often teachers, at exactly the moment the syllabus gets harder. Class 11 Physics brings vectors and calculus-based kinematics in the first term; Class 11 Maths starts sets, functions and trigonometric identities at a pace that surprises students who scored well in Class 10. Commerce students meet double-entry accounting and economics with graphs for the first time.

A tutor's job in that first Class 11 term is to rebuild the base quickly: algebra fluency for the science stream, ledger and journal accuracy for Accountancy. The NCERT Class 11 books are also the foundation for Class 12, so gaps left in Class 11 cost twice.

Board exams and online lessons in Jeddah

Jeddah candidates sit the CBSE board papers in the city, at schools approved as exam centres, on the same date sheet as India; the 10:30 India start becomes 8:00 in Jeddah. Since 2026 Class 10 has a compulsory first exam in February and March and an optional second exam in May for improving up to three subjects. CBSE had begun the List of Candidates process for 2027 by late September 2026 but had not published the 2027 date sheet when we checked on 6 October 2026.

Lessons are 60 minutes, one to one, in LiveTutor's own online classroom with video and a shared whiteboard, so a tutor can write out a derivation or a trial balance live. A slot after Asr and before dinner, roughly 4pm to 8pm on school days, fits most Jeddah timetables, and Friday or Saturday works for a second weekly lesson in the run-up to boards. Lessons follow the school's chapter order, so the tutor is revising what the class is doing that week, not running a parallel course.

Common questions

Which CBSE schools in Jeddah go up to Class 12?

On the SARAS register in October 2026: International Indian School Jeddah, Al Falah International Delhi Public School, Jeddah Ahdab International School, Alwurood International School, Al Mawarid International School and Novel International School. Dauha Al Uloom, Mahd Al Uloom and Talal International School are affiliated up to Class 10.

Do Jeddah CBSE students sit board exams in Jeddah?

Yes. CBSE runs its board papers in Saudi Arabia at approved school centres, and the school tells each candidate where to go. The date sheet is the same as in India.

Should we start tutoring in Class 10 or Class 11?

If your child is changing school after Class 10, the first term of Class 11 is the riskiest point, so starting a few weeks before it is sensible. If Class 10 boards are the worry, start by the October before them.

How much do CBSE lessons cost with LiveTutor?

$15 a lesson, whatever the class or subject. Plans run from one to five lessons a week, billed monthly ($60 a month for one a week), and the first lesson is a free trial.

Can a tutor help with Accountancy and Economics as well as science?

Yes. Tell us the stream and subjects when you book and we match a tutor who teaches those CBSE subjects.
