Online tutoring for Manama students

Bahrain has one of the oldest British-curriculum school traditions in the Gulf, and Manama parents tend to know exactly what course their child sits and what grade they need. The hard part in a small country is finding a subject specialist with spare capacity. Online tutoring solves the scarcity: LiveTutor matches your child with a verified UK or US tutor who teaches that exact specification, in your timezone.

Schools and curricula

Manama's international schools lean strongly British, with long-established campuses preparing students for IGCSE and A-Levels, alongside American-curriculum schools and IB programmes. Whichever stream your child is in, the exams are set by the same boards our tutors teach every week: Cambridge, Edexcel and AQA on the British side, the College Board's Digital SAT on the American side, and the IB Diploma.

For exam-year students, the tutor's first job is a diagnosis against the actual specification: which papers, which tier, which topics are costing marks. That is a specialist's read, and it is exactly what a small local market struggles to provide in every subject.

Lesson times that fit

Bahrain runs on GMT+3 with a Sunday to Thursday school week. A 5pm lesson in Manama is 2pm or 3pm in the UK depending on the season, which is ordinary working time for our British tutors. Friday and Saturday mornings suit US-based tutors well.

Lessons happen in our built-in classroom with video and a shared whiteboard. There is nothing to install and your child joins from a link, no account needed.

Do your tutors know the courses Bahrain's British schools teach?

Yes. Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, A-Levels and the IB are the core of what our tutors teach. We match to the exact syllabus your child's school follows.

What does online tutoring cost in Bahrain?

$15 per hour (about BHD 5.6) for every subject and level, paid per session with no subscription. The first session is free.

Most book 4pm to 8pm GMT+3 on school days, which is comfortable afternoon time for UK tutors. Friday and Saturday slots are also available.
