LiveTutor is a product of Neu Software LLC, a company registered in Delaware, United States.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LiveTutor's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and students.
2. Description of Services
LiveTutor provides online tutoring services connecting students with qualified tutors. Our services include one-on-one tutoring sessions, progress tracking, and related educational support across the subjects published on our subjects page, spanning Mathematics, English, languages, the Sciences, humanities and exam preparation.
3. User Accounts
When registering, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain your credentials securely, accept responsibility for all account activities, and notify us of unauthorized use. Parents or guardians must register on behalf of students under 18.
4. Free Trial Sessions
LiveTutor offers a complimentary introductory lesson to new users, limited to one per household. Setting up an account may require a payment method to be saved, and the trial lesson itself is not charged. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.
5. Pricing and Payment
All lessons are online, at $15 per hour for every subject and level. Prices are shown in USD and selected local currencies and may change with prior notice. Lessons are paid in advance: a saved payment method is charged when a lesson is confirmed, and no package or subscription is required.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Parents may cancel or reschedule a lesson at least 48 hours before its start, and anything paid for that lesson is refunded in full. A late cancellation may forfeit the lesson fee. If a tutor cancels or does not attend, the parent is refunded in full or may choose a replacement lesson. Prepaid hours, where a family has bought them, do not expire.
7. Tutor Match Promise
The first session is free. If the tutor is not the right match, LiveTutor will introduce a different tutor at no extra cost before the family continues with paid sessions.
8. Tutor Conduct
All tutors undergo rigorous vetting including background checks, qualification verification, and accent proficiency assessment. If you have concerns about a tutor, please contact us immediately.
9. Session Recordings
Sessions are not recorded by default. If recording is introduced for a specific session, LiveTutor will obtain appropriate consent and state the purpose, access controls, and retention period before recording begins.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the LiveTutor website is our property or our content providers' and is protected by intellectual property laws. Educational materials are for personal, non-commercial use only.
11. User Responsibilities
You agree to ensure a suitable learning environment, provide reliable equipment, treat tutors with respect, not arrange sessions outside the platform, and not distribute session content without authorization.
12. Limitation of Liability
LiveTutor provides services on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services in the preceding 3 months.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We reserve the right to suspend access for violations of these terms, abusive behaviour, or failed payments. Outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if that fails, binding arbitration.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated revision date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
