What is different about CBSE in Bahrain
The syllabus, textbooks and board exams are the same as in India, but Bahrain adds a layer most Indian parents in other countries do not see: independent quality reviews. The Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) reviews private schools, Indian schools included, and publishes reports with overall judgements. That gives parents a local, comparable view of teaching quality and student progress, which is useful when choosing between large Indian schools with similar board results.
Indian schools in Bahrain keep India's April-to-March academic year while following Bahrain's Sunday to Thursday week and public holidays, including National Day on 16 and 17 December and the Eid holidays, which in 2027 fall on 9 to 11 March (Eid al-Fitr) and 16 to 18 May (Eid al-Adha) according to the Ministry of Education calendar. Ramadan in 2027 overlaps with the February board exams.
