How does LiveTutor tutoring work?
LiveTutor tutoring is a five step process a parent completes themselves. You sign up, describe your child's subject, level, curriculum and preferred times, add a card, then choose your own tutor from every tutor who fits, with five star tutors shown first. Each tutor card carries a photo, a star rating, experience, qualifications and a voice introduction, and the tutor's name is revealed when you book.
The first lesson is completely free for every new child. Adding a card charges you nothing at that point: the card is charged only when a tutor confirms a booked lesson, at $15 per hour, the single rate on the LiveTutor pricing page, with no packages and no subscription. Once you pick a slot, LiveTutor asks that tutor on WhatsApp, and when the tutor accepts, the lesson lands on your calendar with a Google Meet link and a confirmation email. Cancellations made 48 hours or more before a lesson are refunded in full.

We ask your chosen tutor on WhatsApp. When they accept, the lesson lands on your calendar with a Google Meet link and an email confirmation for both sides.

How you choose a tutor
You see every tutor who teaches your child's subject and level, ranked, with five star tutors at the top. Each card shows a photo, a star rating, years of experience, qualifications, subjects, curricula and accent, plus a voice introduction you can play before you decide. Names stay hidden until a booking is confirmed, so your choice rests on teaching, not on a surname. The moment the tutor accepts, you see who they are.
The first lesson is free, and it is a real lesson
The trial is not a sales call. The tutor asks about recent topics and upcoming assessments beforehand, teaches for the full 60 minutes, and sets a short piece of follow-up work. It costs nothing. Your card is on file so that booking the next lesson takes one tap, and it is not charged for the trial. If the fit is wrong, pick a different tutor and try again.
After lessons begin
Every lesson after the trial is $15 per hour, whatever the subject and whatever the level. Your card is charged when the tutor confirms the slot, before the lesson runs, so there is never a bill at the end of the month. After each lesson you get a short written note on what was covered. Cancel or reschedule 48 hours or more before a lesson and you are refunded in full, and if a tutor ever cancels or misses a lesson you are refunded automatically.
