IGCSE tutors in Dammam and Al Khobar: online lessons

Ministry licensing in the Eastern Province

The Ministry of Education's Eastern Province directorate licenses every international school in Dammam and Al Khobar, and the Ministry's national identity rule applies: Arabic, Islamic studies and Saudi history and geography, taught in Arabic for Saudi students. Al Hussan International Academy, for instance, runs Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE within a Ministry-licensed school that also offers a High School Diploma and the IB.

The Eastern Province follows the main national calendar. Public schools started 1448 on 23 August 2026 and the year ends on 24 June 2027, with a mid-year break from 8 to 16 January 2027. International schools set their own term dates but share national holidays.

Exams and the spring of 2027

School candidates sit IGCSE at their own school. For private candidates, the British Council has run school exams from Al Khobar as well as Riyadh and Jeddah; check current availability and entry deadlines directly. Cambridge's October/November series suits resits and early entries, and the main series is May/June 2027.

Ramadan is expected to start around 8 February 2027 and the Ministry's Eid al-Fitr holiday runs from 26 February to 13 March. Mocks often fall before or around Ramadan, so the weeks after Eid al-Fitr are the natural window for a final revision push before May.

Online IGCSE lessons from the Eastern Province
