SAT tutors in Riyadh: digital SAT preparation online

Riyadh students take the digital SAT on the same Saturday dates as the rest of the world, which in Saudi Arabia fall on the weekend. The remaining 2026-27 dates are 7 November and 5 December 2026, then 6 March, 1 May and 5 June 2027, each with a registration deadline about two weeks earlier. Some Riyadh schools, including American International School Riyadh, run the SAT and PSAT for their own students; others register at an open test centre through College Board. LiveTutor offers one-to-one online SAT preparation for both sections, timed around a Sunday to Thursday school week.

Where Riyadh students sit the SAT

The SAT is run by College Board, not the Saudi Ministry of Education, so there is no ministry registration step. Students register on College Board's site, choose a test centre in Riyadh from the list shown for that date, and install the Bluebook app on the laptop they will use. Seats in Riyadh are at schools that host the test, and the list changes from one date to the next, so register early, especially for the December and May dates when many Grade 11 and 12 students sit.

If your child attends a school that runs its own SAT, as AIS-R does, ask the counselor which dates it hosts before registering elsewhere. School-hosted seats are often limited to that school's students.

A realistic preparation plan from Riyadh

Most students need eight to twelve weeks of steady work. A tutor starts with a full practice test in Bluebook to find the gap between the current and target score, then splits lessons between the two sections. In Math the biggest gains usually come from linear equations, systems, and reading word problems carefully; in Reading and Writing they come from grammar rules (punctuation, verb agreement, transitions) and evidence questions, which are learnable.

Lessons are 60 minutes, one to one, in LiveTutor's online classroom. Riyadh is on UTC+3, so evening lessons after the school day and a Friday lesson before a Saturday test both fit. Plan the last four weeks around timed modules, review of every wrong answer, and one more full practice test a week before the real one.

Common questions

When is the next SAT in Riyadh?

The next College Board dates are 7 November and 5 December 2026, then 6 March, 1 May and 5 June 2027. Register by the deadline about two weeks before each date.

Is the SAT on a school day in Saudi Arabia?

No. The international SAT is on Saturdays, which is a weekend day in Saudi Arabia, so it does not clash with the Sunday to Thursday school week.

Do Saudi universities require the SAT?

Saudi universities mainly use the Qiyas tests (Qudurat and Tahsili) for Saudi high-school graduates. The SAT matters most for US colleges and some international programs, so check the admission page of each university your child is considering.

How much does SAT tutoring cost?

$15 a lesson, the same as every other subject. Two lessons a week for the last two months is a common pattern, which is $120 a month. Your first lesson is a free trial.

Can a tutor guarantee a score?

No one can honestly guarantee a score. A tutor can show you the gap from a practice test, set a plan, and measure progress with timed practice every week.
