Qudurat and Tahsili results: how to check them and what the scores mean

Qudurat and Tahsili results appear in the student's Qiyas beneficiary profile on Sadeed (sadeed.etec.gov.sa), under the test results service. Digital tests are marked in 3 to 5 working days; paper Qudurat results take about a month. Scores are norm-referenced, so a number only means something relative to other test takers: on Qudurat, 65 is the average, 70 puts a student in the top 30%, 78 in the top 10% and 81 in the top 5%. ETEC sends each student's highest result to the unified admission platform automatically. A re-mark request costs SAR 200 and must be made within 60 days.

How to check a Qudurat or Tahsili result

These are the steps ETEC lists for its results enquiry service.

  1. Go to Sadeed (sadeed.etec.gov.sa) and sign in with Nafath, or with the student's national ID or iqama number and password.
  2. Under services, open the test results card and choose the results enquiry service, then press start.
  3. Choose the test type (General Aptitude Test or Achievement Test). Each result shows the test name, score, format, test date and a result reference number.
  4. Open the result details to see the total score, then press the plus sign beside the score details for the section scores.
  5. Use the print icon to print the result or save it as a PDF for school or university files.

What a Qudurat score means

ETEC publishes where a score places a student among everyone who took the test. This is the most useful way to read a number.

How universities use the results

Neither test has a pass mark. Universities combine the secondary school average, Qudurat and (for most programmes) Tahsili into a weighted percentage (النسبة الموزونة), and each university and college sets its own weights and minimums per programme. That is why the same Qudurat score can be comfortable for one programme and short for another. Check the admission guide of each university your child is considering; our weighted score calculator lets you try different weights.

ETEC approves Qudurat and Tahsili results and supplies the student's highest result to the unified admission platform automatically, so a weaker later attempt does not overwrite a better earlier one. Scores stay valid for five years from the test date.

If you think a score is wrong

ETEC offers a re-marking request through the results section of Sadeed. Open the result, press details, then the objection button at the bottom of the page, accept the terms and pay. The request must be made within 60 days of the result appearing. The fee is SAR 200 per test, paper or digital, and it is refunded if the recorded score turns out to be wrong. A report appears under the request once the re-mark is finished.

In practice a re-mark rarely changes a multiple-choice score. It is worth it when a student is sure they shaded answers in the wrong row or the section scores look inconsistent with their practice results, not as a general hope for a few extra points.

After the result: retake or move on?

Use the section scores, not just the total. A student who lost most marks in the quantitative section for arithmetic speed can usually gain several points with six to eight weeks of focused practice; a student who is already near their practice-test ceiling may gain more by putting the time into school grades or Tahsili. One-to-one lessons are useful here because a tutor can rebuild the weakest section from the student's own errors: going through a timed practice section together, sorting each lost mark by cause, and drilling that question type until it is quick. Remember the limits: five Qudurat attempts in total, and Tahsili attempts only in Grade 12 and the year after.

Common questions

Where do I find my Qudurat result?

In the Qiyas beneficiary profile on Sadeed, under test results. Sign in with Nafath or the national ID or iqama number and password.

How long do Qudurat results take?

3 to 5 working days for the digital test and about one month for the paper test, according to ETEC.

Is 70 a good Qudurat score?

A score of 70 puts a student in the top 30% of test takers. Whether it is enough depends on the programme: each university sets its own weighted percentage and minimum.

Which score do universities see if I take Qudurat twice?

ETEC sends the highest result to the unified admission platform automatically, as long as it is still within its five-year validity.

How much does LiveTutor cost if my child wants to retake?

Every lesson is $15 for 60 minutes one to one, on a weekly plan of 1 to 5 lessons billed monthly. The tutor starts from your child's section scores. The first lesson is a free trial.
